MECCA, CA — The Galilee Center, in partnership with local healthcare and recreation agencies, will host a free community health fair Saturday in Mecca to provide medical care, vaccines, and wellness resources to local residents.
The "Bridge to Health Fair" will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mecca Sports Park, located at 61403 66th Ave. near the Boys and Girls Club.
Organized alongside the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation and the Desert Recreation District, the event is open to all community members without eligibility or insurance requirements. Services will include basic medical care, immunizations, wellness information, and mental health support.
"For neighbors without insurance or with difficulty accessing care, this health fair offers a welcoming place to receive services and find support and resources for their health and well-being," said Claudia Castorena, founder of the Galilee Center.
In addition to health services, the event will feature a raffle and complimentary hot dogs while supplies last. Raffle winners must be present to receive prizes.
