Apply Now for Open Call Talent Competition

The McCallum Theatre is accepting applicants for its annual Open Call Talent Competition, it was announced today.

Vocalists, dancers, musicians and other performers can enter to take the stage at the McCallum in April. The application deadline is Jan. 5, and there is no entry charge. Aspiring performers must be at least 8 years old and live in a 45-mile radius of the McCallum, according to spokeswoman Cate Ervin.

Performers are chosen by audition, and judges and audience members determine the prize winners. Cash prizes will be awarded to an audience favorite, second place and grand prize winners. The grand prize is $1,500.

All Open Call finalists will receive a cash stipend. Performances are April 16-18.
