Are You An Artist? Palm Desert Wants To Hear From You
The city is inviting artists from across the nation to apply for the 2026–2028 El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition.
PALM DESERT, CA — The City of Palm Desert is inviting artists from across the United States to apply for the 2026–2028 El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition, a biennial outdoor program that transforms the city’s El Paseo corridor into an open-air gallery of large-scale, contemporary sculpture.
Submissions are open through Jan. 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Visual artists, as well as galleries, museums and nonprofit organizations based in the United States, are eligible to apply.
Widely regarded as one of the region’s signature public art programs, the El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition features innovative works installed along El Paseo, where they are viewed daily by thousands of residents and visitors. Selected sculptures will remain on display for a two-year exhibition period.

Each selected artist will receive a $6,000 honorarium. The city will also cover all costs related to installation, lighting, insurance, maintenance and promotion of the artwork.
City officials said the program is designed to expand access to public art while supporting artists and enhancing Palm Desert’s cultural landscape.
