Attorneys: Jamie Smith Case May Not Go to Trial
Today's trial readiness hearing postponed: possible settlement coming

Attorneys in the case of Jamie Smith believe a settlement may be in the works before the former COD football player goes to trial on attempted murder charges.
Riverside Superior County Judge Thomas N. Douglass granted a continuance in today's trial readiness hearing at the request of both sides, who said they need more time, but that an agreement may be in the works.
Smith is charged with assault and attempted murder stemming from a on a teammate over alleged stolen property at an apartment complex where both men lived.
