B of A Grants $15K to Valley Organization, CVEP

The Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) is pleased to accept a generous grant of $15,000 from Bank of America. Local business and community leaders will attend the check presentation onWednesday, August 20, at 11:30 am at CVEP headquarters in the Rabobank Regional Business Center at 3111 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, California 92262.

The bank’s community development grant will support CVEP business and workforce vitality initiatives, including a robust offering of business services, as well as career pathways and scholarship programs to grow a 21st century workforce in the region’s emerging industries. Specifically CVEP tailors and delivers meaningful programs to the local business owners, entrepreneurs, educator, and students while championing key emerging industry clusters in Healthcare; Clean Technology and Energy; and Arts, Media, and Entertainment.

“Having the support of a financial institution such as Bank of America is very important to community organizations such as CVEP,” says CVEP President/CEO Thomas Flavin. “We thank them for their support and corporate involvement in CVEP’s efforts to build long-term economic vitality in the Coachella Valley.”

Bank of America awards community development grants annually to local nonprofits offering programming and resources for housing, hunger, workforce education and other basic human services that help communities thrive.
