Bank of America donates to Angel View home energy upgrade

Six non-profit groups selected for community grants through Bank of America Foundation

Angel View, the 63-year-old non-profit serving children and adults with disabilities, was the proud recipient of a $7,500 grant this week from Bank of America.

This grant, through the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, will benefit special needs affordable housing energy upgrades for the 19 group homes operated by Angel View.

"They’re doing big things in the community and that's important for us," said McNeil. "We partner (with the non-profits) in more ways than just giving money. That why we're doing it -- to be part of the community. That's what we aspire to do."

According to McNeil, Bank of America awarded grants to more than 25 non-profits throughout the Inland Empire, totaling more than $250,000.

"We are happy to be able to become a more efficient and energy-conscious neighbor," said Park. "We appreciate Bank of America choosing Angel View and having its continued support toward our homes and programs for children and adults with disabilities. We also congratulate the other recipients across the Coachella Valley."

Other groups receiving grants in Monday's presentation included: Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, CV Housing Coalition, McCallum Theatre, Habitat For Humanity, and Palm Springs International Film Festival.
