Beautiful Field Trip In Calipatria: Photos Of The Day

We'd love to feature your photos on Patch!

CALIPATRIA, CA — Neighboring Imperial County helps feed the nation with its vast agricultural fields of lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cantaloupes, honeydews, onions, carrots, sweet corn, spinach and watermelons, among others.

Alora Martinez captured the feel of the area in a series of photos taken in Calipatria, just north of El Centro. In the images she's shared here, the region's dry heat and smell of growing produce are almost palpable.

Thank you Alora!
