CABAZON, CA — A fire that started in a single-wide trailer on the south end of Cabazon quickly spread to surrounding brush Wednesday, charring roughly five acres as crews deployed to the location.

The non-injury blaze was reported at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Lemon and Lime streets, less than a mile south of Interstate 10, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered a trailer fully engulfed, with flames moving at a fast clip to the east, not immediately threatening any homes.
