Coachella 2024 Schedule, Rumors Of Surprise Taylor Swift Appearance

INDIO, CA — Thousands of campers are expected to make their way to the Empire Polo Club Thursday in advance of the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which will be headlined by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, No Doubt, and Tyler, The Creator. The trip out to Coachella is a tradition for music lovers and there is plenty to talk about as the 2024 lineup arrives to take the stage, including secret guest appearances, celebrity sightings, and more.

Lana Del Rey will perform on both Fridays of the two-weekend event. Other acts scheduled to perform on Fridays include Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, Justice, Ken Carson, and Ben Sterling.

Tyler, The Creator will headline on Saturdays. Other acts scheduled to perform are Ice Spice, Blur, Jungle, Dom Dolla, Bleachers, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kevin Kaarl.

Doja Cat will close out each weekend on Sundays. Other acts set to perform before her are J Balvin, Jhene Aiko, Ludmilla, Lil Yachty, John Summit, and DJ Snake.

An additional stage was also added this year, with extended three-hour sets from Honey Dijon and Green Velvet on Friday, Michael Bibi on Saturday, and Jamie XX, Floating Points, and Daphni on Sunday. Next weekend will feature Rufus Du Sol on the first day, Eric Prdz and Anyma on the second day, and Diplo and Mau P set to close out.

No Doubt's official social media page shared a video confirming that the band will play together again. The members—Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young—appeared in the video to say that they would "do a show" but didn't release any further details.

Will Taylor Swift appear at Coachella 2024?

There's nothing terrible or cruel about rumors that Taylor Swift is possibly attending this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Still, it remains unclear if she'll take the stage or just be there in support of her friends.

Swift is spending April promoting her new album, "The Tortured Poets Department," which will be released on April 19. According to numerous sources, including the LA Times, artists have a history of dropping onto Coachella stages to promote new work. Still, Swift has numerous high-profile friends who will play both weekends of the music and arts festival.

Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice, Sabrina Carpenter, and Jack Antonoff—of the Bleachers Fame—are known to be close friends of Taylor Swift and have appeared with her on stage at various times in her past and current tours.

Del Rey and Swift released "Snow on the Beach" on the "Midnight" album, so the Times predicts that if Swift does perform, she may set foot on stage during that set.

Sabrina Carpenter also plays Friday and was Taylor's opening act during the first leg of the Era's Tour. Carpenter is currently singing "Picture to Burn" on her tour, and a live Coachella reprise could fuel even more rumors of a "Debut: Taylor's Version" release.

Ice Spice, who remixed Karma with Taylor Swift and appeared in the video of the same, takes to the Coachella stage on Saturday.

Antonoff, whom Swift declared is her best friend, will play with his band The Bleachers on Saturday in the Mojave Tent, which may provide a decent slot for a guest spot for Swift. Antonoff's Bleachers dropped a remix of the award-winning "Anti-Hero," which "would make for a pretty epic Coachella moment, the Times predicted.

What to know when you go:

According to festival officials, campers can check in as early as 9 a.m. Thursday and must check out by 10 a.m. Monday after the festival concludes. Avenue 50 between Monroe Street and Madison Avenue will be closed until May 6 as the city gears up for each festival weekend.

Non-campers can start finding their parking spots in the general parking area as early as 11 a.m. Friday to Sunday before the venue opens at around 1 p.m. each day. Shuttle services will depart from local hotels at 12:30 p.m. each day.
