Coachella Valley Water District Cancels Public Events: COVID-19
CVWD does not anticipate any disruption to water services in the Coachella Valley.
COACHELLA, CA — Acting out of an abundance of caution, Coachella Valley Water District has cancelled upcoming public events and tours until further notice due to concerns over coronavirus, officials announced Wednesday.
The move comes after the Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to approve both a local health emergency and a local emergency in response to the spread of COVID-19, or novel coronavirus.
“We appreciate the public’s interest in our workshops and tours and look forward to rescheduling them in the future,” said Katie Evans, director of communication and conservation for CVWD. “We are acting out of an abundance of caution to help support the efforts to safeguard our community.”
