College Of The Desert Moves Towards Online Classes

Starting March 16, College of the Desert will be transitioning many of its face-to-face and hybrid classes to fully online synchronous instruction.

The decision to move classes online was not made lightly. The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff continues to be the college’s top priority.

At this time, migrating to online instruction is an optional decision that will be made by each faculty member.

Students impacted by the change will be notified by email notification from their instructors through their COD email account and/or the Canvas system.

The College has several resources available to help students make the transition to synchronous learning:

College of the Desert Library – Hilb Building, Palm Desert Campus:

Mondays-Thursdays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

TASC (Tutoring and Academic Skills Center) – Hilb Building, Palm Desert Campus:

Mondays – Thursdays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fridays 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
