Fourth District Riverside County Supervisor John J. Benoit will be joined Sunday by representatives from the nonprofit Galilee Center to celebrate the opening of a permanent shower, restroom and laundry facility for migrant farm workers.

The Mecca Comfort Station was fashioned from a vacant warehouse at the Galilee Center building and is a joint effort of Galilee and the county.

“The Mecca Comfort Station will help farm workers and the community have access to showers and laundry, necessities that are often taken for granted,” Benoit said.
