Crews Knock Down Commercial Building Fire In Indio

INDIO, CA – Firefighters on Wednesday evening contained a single-story building fire on the 87000 block of Landfill Road in Indio.

Multiple piles of debris within the 15,000-square-foot commercial structure were burning, however, no injuries were reported, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The first arriving engine company at approximately 6:26 p.m. said heavy smoke and fire were coming from the building. The blaze was contained today at midnight, the agency said.

No additional details were available.
