CSUSB Palm Desert Campus To Host Entrepreneurship Day

Members of the community are invited to attend The Garner Holt Student Fast Pitch Competition.

From CSUSB: The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship will present Entrepreneurship Day at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus on Nov. 1.

Members of the community are invited to attend The Garner Holt Student Fast Pitch Competition, where they will witness a “Shark Tank”-style student business competition where PDC students have 90 seconds to pitch their business idea to a panel of judges.

The competition starts at 6 p.m. and will be held in the campus’ Indian Wells Theater. Admission is free, however, attendees must purchase a $6 parking permit at a dispenser on campus.

This is a semi-qualifying event where one lucky PDC student will move on to secure a top spot as one of the “Final 5” competing finalists. The pressure heats up knowing the students are competing for $4,000 in cash prizes.

Attendees are invited to come and support students, cheer for their favorite pitch and see what entrepreneurship looks like, live in action.

CSUSB’s globally-recognized Entrepreneurship program will officially begin offering programs at the Palm Desert Campus in fall 2019.

The CSUSB Palm Desert Campus is located at 37-500 Cook St.
