CV Housing First Program Opens New Space In Palm Springs
CV Housing first program opens a new office in Palm Springs to assist with homelessness.

PALM DESERT, CA - From The City of Palm Springs: The City of Palm Springs, in partnership with the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG), is pleased to announce its new CV Housing First program recently opened a much needed headquarters in Palm Springs to help combat homelessness on the west end of the valley.
The new office, operated by Path of Life Ministries, is located at 610 Belardo Road in Palm Springs.
CV Housing First services include homeless prevention and diversion, crisis stabilization housing, and much more. Prevention assists families and individuals from falling into homelessness and preserve their current housing. Since beginning the valley-wide program in July 2017, CV Housing First has prevented 26
individuals from falling into homelessness. The program has also diverted 71 individuals out of shelters. In addition, CV Housing First provides pathways to permanent housing for those who have been on the streets for a long period of time through Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing. While helping those
individuals, CV Housing First has provided over 2,000 crisis stabilization bed nights to help them transition to permanent housing solutions.

In addition to these services, all individuals are entered into a County-wide Coordinated Entry System, (CES), which ensures that everyone seeking services is assessed and prioritized. A hotline is available for those in need of housing assistance by calling (760) 601-5424.
“Addressing the issue of homelessness has been a priority for the City Council and we believe the CV Housing First program will take us in the right direction to help anyone who may be in need of housing assistance find a solution,” said City Manager David H. Ready.
