CVWD Board To Hold Evening Meeting in Palm Desert

The evening meeting is part of on-going efforts to increase CVWD's transparency and accessibility to the public.

From CVWD:The Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) Board of Directors will conduct its next regular public meeting in the evening instead of the morning to allow for greater accessibility.

The evening meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the auditorium at CVWD’s Steven Robbins Administration Building in Palm Desert. The closed session portion of the agenda will begin at 5 p.m. and the open session will begin at 6 p.m.

The evening meeting is part of on-going efforts to increase CVWD’s transparency and accessibility to the public.

The agenda for the Sept. 11 meeting will be published no later than Friday, Sept. 7 at www.cvwd.org. The public is provided time to speak to items on the meeting’s agenda and to comment about any district- or water-related topic.

The Stephen Robbins Administration Building is located at 75-515 Hovley Lane East in Palm Desert. Free parking for the board meeting is located immediately in front of the building.
Regular meetings for the five-person elected board are at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month and alternate between CVWD facilities in Coachella and Palm Desert.

The Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of directors. The district provides domestic and irrigation water, agricultural drainage, wastewater treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 108,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
