Deputies Arrest Man Accused Of Assault, Robbery In Palm Desert: Sheriff
Authorities said the man was in possession of the victim's property when he was apprehended.
PALM DESERT, CA — A 19-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after he was accused of robbing and assaulting a man in Palm Desert, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a robbery was reported just after 9:30 p.m. on March 26 in the 72000 block of State Highway 111 and found a victim who had been assaulted and learned his property had been stolen, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The robbery was reported at 9:32 p.m. March 26 in the 72000 block of State Highway 111. Deputies found a victim, whose name was not revealed, who was assaulted and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities identified Deandre Wayne McKneely, of Indio, as the suspect. McKneely was located around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near the 72000 block of Country Club Drive in Rancho Mirage.

Authorities said McKneely was found in possession of the victim's property when he was located.
Authorities did not say what McKneely was accused of stealing.
McKneely was transported and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Bail information was not immediately available.
Authorities said the investigation was ongoing and no additional information was immediately available.
