Desert Samaritans For Seniors Honors Volunteers
The work of valley residents saves the nonprofit thousands in overhead costs.

, a local nonprofit that seeks to provide financial and psychological support to seniors, honored more than 30 volunteers for their work this week.
“Volunteers greatly enhance the ratio of our successes in aiding DSFS social service programs for low-income seniors throughout the Coachella Valley,” said Lisa Karr, special events director. “These compassionate individuals donate time and professional services to help others.”
The nonprofits's CEO Doug J. Morin pointed out the value of their service in the office and the field.
