Dive In To Summer Fun At Palm Desert Aquatic Center Pool: What To Know For July
The Palm Desert Aquatic Center Pool offers everything from water park action, aquatic exercise and swim classes to Dive-In movies.

PALM DESERT, CA — The City of Palm Desert's Aquatic Center is drawing quite the crowd this summer after reopening to the public. The center hosts a series of water exercise classes and lap swimming, a recreational swim team for ages 8 to 17, and, for fun, Dive-In movie dates and water slides through August. It is located at 73751 Magnesia Falls Drive.
The aquatic center is owned by The City of Palm Desert and proudly managed by Family YMCA of the Desert. Day passes, monthly passes and senior passes are available for purchase, and drop-in rates and fitness passes are also available.
Swim classes are available by group or private session and for those who come to love it, a recreational swim team, known locally as the Platypi, is also offered for registration.

"This is a fun, social, engaging program that promotes swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle, while refining stroke technique on all major competitive strokes. It is also a bridge to competitive swim clubs and swim teams!
The Summer session schedule is Monday – Thursday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM or 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM for those ages 8-17 years old. There is limited space, so call the pool at 760-565-7467 or contact us today!

Note: A swim evaluation must be passed prior to registration and participants must know the basics of freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.
Cost for 2-week session:
- $170 per child
- $130 per child with Palm Desert resident discount
