Early Morning Earthquake Shakes Riverside County

BREAKING: The earthquake was reported just after 4:12 a.m. Did YOU feel it?

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck about 18 miles from Palm Desert early Saturday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey. The temblor was reported around 4:12 a.m.

Residents throughout Riverside and San Diego counties reported feeling the temblor, according to the U.S.G.S. “did you feel it?” application.

It was centered about 9.9 miles south of Borrego Springs, 30.5 miles northwest of Palm Springs and 44.1 miles northwest of Escondido.
