
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.8 has struck 11 miles east-southeast of Anza, and 18 miles north-northwest of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the quake, which struck at about 10:45 a.m.
According to the U.S.G.S., the quake was centered:
- 11.2 mi ESE of Anza
- 15.5 mi NNE of Warner Springs
- 16.8 mi SW of La Quinta
- 23.6 mi S of Palm Springs
- 41.6 mi NE of Escondido
- 61.5 mi NE of San Diego
The quake was felt throughout the Coachella Valley, according to the U.S.G.S. 'did you feel it' application.
