Eisenhower Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am to be Held Wednesday

Golf will take over La Quinta this week as the pros come to town.

A one-day pro-am tournament is planned for Wednesday, Jan. 21 at the Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA WEST, with all net proceeds from the event going to the Eisenhower Medical Center.

Eisenhower Medical Center is known as the “hospital Bob Hope built,” because of its longstanding role as the tournament’s charitable beneficiary.

Now, one of the PGA TOUR’s longest serving charitable partnerships is becoming even more fruitful with the hospital’s sponsorship of the Eisenhower Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am presented by Cobra Puma Golf.

Charity has been a staple of the Humana Challenge since its inception in 1960 as the Palm Springs Golf Classic. Since that first tournament, Desert Classic Charities, the charitable entity that organizes the Humana Challenge, has contributed more than $56 million to the Eisenhower Medical Center and surrounding nonprofit organizations throughout the Coachella Valley.

Tickets are available at Lumpy’s in La Quinta and Rancho Mirage, at PGA TOUR Superstore in Palm Desert, and at the gate. The cost is $15. Tickets for the entire week are also available.
