3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro Continues 2011 Specialty Wine Dinners On April 6, at 6pm Featuring Castello Banfi La Taverna Wines

The 3^rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro, located in the former Palomino Restaurant site at 73-101 Highway 111 in Palm Desert, continues its first season of specialty Wine Maker Dinners on April 6 at 6pm. 3^rd Corner will showcase the fine Italian wines of Castello Banfi La Taverna. A reception begins at 6pm with dinner at 6:15. The cost is $55 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required. Please call 760.837.9600. 

3^rd Corner’s Paris Cordon Bleu Trained chef, Matt Smith, is creating a five-course dinner paired with specially selected Castello Banfi La Taverna. The first course features Smoked Salmon and Baked Polenta with a San Angelo Pinot Grigio 2008. The second course pairs a House-Made Pasta/ parsnip veloute, balsamic reduction, pea leaves and pancetta and a Chianti Classico Riserva 2006.   Next diners enjoy a Chicken Cacciatore/ mascarpone and sage polenta with a Belnero IGT Toscano 2007 and a Cum Laude "Super Tuscan" 2007. The Fourth Course is a Grilled Veal Skirt Steak Tornado/ truffle risotto with orange-clove demi glaze. This dish is complimented by Brunello di Montalcino 2004. The evening ends with a Chocolate Rose Tart and Rosa Regale "Brachetto D'Aqui.”
