3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro Continues Summer Wine Maker Dinners with “The Pinot Project”
The 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro, located in the former Palomino Restaurant site at 73-101 Highway 111, continues celebrating summer with “The Pinot Project.” This special Wine Dinner showcases Pinot Noir wines from a variety of noted International Pinot Producers. A champagne reception starts at 7pm followed by dinner at 7:15pm. The cost is $50 plus tax & gratuity. Reservations are required. Please call 760.837.9600. 3rd Corner’s Paris Cordon Bleu trained chef, Matt Smith, is presenting a four-course dinner paired with specially selected Pinot Noirs. The evening begins with a wild salmon/ smoked sweet potato puree, fennel kraut and pickled champagne grape vinaigrette with a Stoller, Dundee Hills 2008. The second course is cornish game hen/ mustard and leek risotto and pan roasted pan jus. The accompanying wine is Olivier Jouan, Vieilles Vignes, Bourgogne 2008. This is followed by braised pork shank gnocchi/ arugula, bread crumbs, tomato and shaved parmesan cheese and paired with Neudorf, Tom's Block, New Zealand 2008. The evening finale is a California cheese plate/ house-made flatbread and Ojai, Clos Pepe, Santa Barbara 2007.
