3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro Continues Summer Wine Maker Dinners with Arcadian Winery
The 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro located in the former Palomino Restaurant site at 73-101 Highway 111 is celebrating summer by showcasing wines from the Arcadian Winery on July 19 @ 7pm. The cost is $50 plus tax & gratuity. Reservations are required. Please call 760-837-9600. Arcadian Winery located in Santa Rita Hills, California is a small Santa Maria Valley producer focusing on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Inspired by the great traditions of Burgundian winemaking, Joseph Davis has been making Arcadian Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah in California's Central Coast region since 1996. Using French artisan methods and hands-on vineyard management, Joe's Arcadian label consistently receives high marks from the world's most respected wine writers.
3rd Corner’s Paris Cordon Bleu trained chef, Matt Smith, is presenting a five-course dinner paired with specially selected Arcadian Wines. The menu includes; Crudo of Suzuki/ grapefruit, fennel pollen and spiced grilled melon and 2005 Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay as the first course. This is followed by Chicken Liver and Mushroom Terrine/ burnt herbs and house-made foccassica paired with a 2005 Dierberg Pinot Nior. The third course is a Pan Roasted Duck Breast/ juniper potato gratin and cherry demi glaze complimented by a 2005 Sleepy Hollow Pinot Noir. The evening continues with Slow Roasted Lamb/ rosemary lamb jus, tellegio cheese and grilled onion. The chosen wine is a 2005 Santa Ynez Syrah. Dinner ends with the Best Hot Chocolate Ever/ house-made marshmellow fluff and coffee.
