3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro, located in Palm Desert at 73101 Highway 111, will host the First Annual Chef Celebration Dinner featuring five popular local chefs preparing a five-course wine pairing tasting menu on December 5th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Seating is open with a limit of 30 people per 30 minutes and a total limit of 150 diners for the evening. Cost is $100 per person. For reservations, call: 760-837-9600. Proceeds from the evening benefit the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership (CVEP) Pathways to Success Program, which assists the youth of the Coachella Valley in continued education (www.pathways-to-success.org).
Chefs cooking that evening are; Brent Pollock of Jackalope Ranch, Herve Glen of The Cork Tree, Stephen Strickland of La Quinta Resort & Club, Emmanuel Janin of La Brasserie and Matt Smith of 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro.
For this very worthy cause, the chefs have created a menu showcasing their collective talents. Each course is paired with a wine selection from 3rd Corner’s international wine offerings. The evening begins with a cold appetizer created by Chef Herve Glen of The Cork Tree. A risotto by Chef Stephen Strickland of La Quinta Resort & Club follows. The third course is a special fish dish by Chef Emmanuel Janin of La Brasserie. For the fourth course, Chef Brent Pollock of Jackalope Ranch prepares pork tenderloin. The 3rd Corner’s Executive Chef Matt Smith ends the evening with one of his noted deserts.
