3rd Corner Wine Shop And Bistro Offers Specialty Wine Dinner Celebrating The Wines of Spain

The 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro, located in the former Palomino Restaurant site at 73-101 Highway 111 in Palm Desert, continues its first season of specialty Wine Maker Dinners on April 27 at 6pm.  3rd Corner will showcase the fine wines of Spain.

3rd Corner’s Paris Cordon Bleu Trained chef, Matt Smith, is creating a five-course dinner paired with specially selected Spanish wines. A reception begins at 6pm with an Avocado Pink Peppercorn Meringue paired with a Mont-Marcal Brut Reserva 2007. The first course features Grilled Calamari and Chickpea Salad with A. Rodriguez MartinSancho Verdejo 2009, The second course pairs a Red Snapper/ lemon yellow squash puree and Peza Do Rei Mencia 2008.    

Next diners enjoy a Slow Poached Egg/ smoked prosciutto broth, speck, truffle oil, brioche bread crumbs and micro celery and A. Fernandez Rivera Dehesa La Granja 2004. The Fourth Course is a Lamb Saddle with Espresso Sauce and Marques de Murrieta Reserva Rioja 2005. . The evening ends with Tres Leches Cake and Peaches paired with Gutierrez Casta Diva Cosecha Miel 2008.

The Reception is at 6pm and dinner at 6:15.  The cost is $50 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required. Please call 760-837-9600
