3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro Welcomes Pete Stolpman of Stolpman Vineyards

The 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro, located in the former Palomino Restaurant site at 73-101 Highway 111, will host one of California's leading producers of Syrah and Rhone varietals from the Santa Ynez AVA, Stolpman Vineyards. Pete Stolpman will be pouring current releases from the Stolpman portfolio.  This is an excellent opportunity for wine lovers to experience a variety of wines from Stolpman Vineyards.

As one of the pioneers in Ballard Canyon, the Stolpmans experimented to find the perfect match to the micro ecosystem.  Syrah ripened for the first time in 1996 and the area's most esteemed producers began buying grapes from the vineyard. Sine Qua Non, Ojai Vineyards, Qupe, Jaffurs and Kunin are just some of the wineries that purchase grapes from Stolpman Vineyards.

Situated on 3 finger-like ridges leading down from a 1600 foot headland, the vineyard blocks have excellent drainage.  The defining element of the vineyard is only a thin layer of clay-shale above Limestone. Stolpman Vineyards has the only "Cote Rotie" styled vineyard in all of California.

All farming at Stoplman is Organic.  No herbicides, fungicides or pesticides are used in the vineyard.  The natural ecosystem is promoted through the establishment of natural habitats including Hawk Perches and Owl Boxes.  Bio-diversity is also aided by a 12 acre rotating crop of organic vegetables and 5 acres of Olive trees.

On Wednesday evening, discounts will be offered of 10% for six bottles and 15% for 12 bottles of Stolpman Vineyard wines.
