Financial Relief For Coachella Valley Businesses: Watch Online

The virtual town hall begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — Rep. Raul Ruiz, D-Palm Desert, is set to host a virtual town hall on Facebook Live Tuesday about relief options available to small business owners in the Coachella Valley struggling during the coronavirus crisis.

Ruiz will be joined by officials from the Small Business Administration and the House Committee on Small Business, who will all answer questions from viewers.

The town hall begins at 2 p.m., and comes just days after the federal government's $350 billion loan program was rolled out by the SBA as part of the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package.

The program offers loans of up to $10 million to companies who employ fewer than 500 people, although news outlets have reported the program's rollout has faced roadblocks in reaching small business owners due to its online system crashing.

The town hall can be watched on the congressman's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/RepRaulRuizMD.
