Find Food Bank Granted $100K To Feed Eastern Riverside County

INDIO, CA — Find Food Bank, a hunger-relief and food rescue nonprofit organization, received a $100,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation, officials announced Wednesday.

The grant aims to support the food bank's recent growth due to the ongoing need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded in 1983, Find Food Bank serves more than 5,000 square miles including eastern Riverside and southern San Bernardino Counties. Find Food Bank currently feeds an average of 150,000 individuals each month through its 150 distribution sites and 80 community partners.
"Our communities are still experiencing the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially working families and children," said Debbie Espinosa, the organization's president and CEO.

"We are so grateful for the support of the S. Mark Taper Foundation to maintain our organization's immensely expanded operations, to continue to feed those in need, and to ensure an equitable recovery for all who call the desert home," she added.

The S. Mark Taper Foundation is a private family foundation created in 1989 that aims to support nonprofit organizations and their work in the community
