The Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation is always seeking new ways to engage its fans, and among the new twists for the PGA TOUR event is one that should whet patrons’ appetites not just for birdies and eagles, but for a bevy of culinary delights – “Food Truck Frenzy.”

Twelve food trucks from across Southern California will descend on the tournament’s social hub – Bob Hope Square at PGA WEST – from Wednesday, Jan. 21 through Sunday, Jan. 25 and offer a wide variety of unique and delicious dining options that range from gourmet burgers and pizza to lobster rolls, grilled cheese, fruit smoothies and acai bowls.

“This is a really cool and fun new thing we’re doing this year with the food trucks,” said Bob Marra, Executive Director/CEO of the Humana Challenge. “We know that the main reason people come to the Humana Challenge is to watch some terrific PGA TOUR golf, but we’re always trying to present new ways for fans to enjoy different fun activities at the event. Everyone loves food trucks, and I think the fans will really enjoy the variety of amazing cuisine that will be offered by the gourmet assortment we have assembled for Bob Hope Square each day.”

The tournament, now in its 56th year and annually the PGA TOUR’s first West Coast Swing event of the new year, returns to La Quinta Jan. 19-25. The 72-hole event features 156 professionals playing at the Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA WEST, the Jack Nicklaus Private Course at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club.
