Free Small Business Seminar in Rancho Mirage Hosted by Nestande, BOE Vice-Chair

Business owners looking to grow their businesses and learn more about complying with state and federal tax laws are invited to attend the Small Business Seminar in Rancho Mirage on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. This is a great opportunity to get answers from relevant government agencies in person along with the information needed to run a successful business.
California State Board of Equalization (BOE) Vice Chair Michelle Steel is sponsoring this free event with Assemblymember Brian Nestande, the City of Rancho Mirage and the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce.

Presentations will be given by representatives from BOE, Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department, Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Center, and Taxpayers’ Rights Advocates. Seminar topics include sales and use tax basics, forms of ownership, better business through better records, employee or independent contractor, and loan programs and services.
