Hard Rock Hotel Coming to the Valley This Year
The Hard Rock hotel chain plans to open up a location in Palm Springs.

The Coachella Valley will soon be home to a new Hard Rock Hotel location, representatives for the chain announced Wednesday.
The 160 room hotel will be here as soon as Fall, 2013, according to plans released.
Hard Rock International, which has 18 hotels around the world, will work with Kittridge Hotel Management to turn the former Hotel Zoso at 150 S. Indian Canyon Drive into Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs, spokeswoman Samantha Schmidt said.

It will be the brand's second hotel in California. The other is in San Diego.
The hotel will have a VIP "rock star" suite, a spa and workout facility, a gift shop, food, a lobby bar, pool, fire pits and music memorabilia. The hotel will also have 20,500 square feet of ballroom and banquet facility space and a business center.

Among other amenities, the hotel will offer live entertainment.
"True to its musical roots, Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs will ignite the region with outstanding live entertainment, adding to Palm Springsʼ established scene of rich music traditions like the Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festivals," Schmidt said in a press release.
The hotel will have a program called "Sound Of Your Stay," where guests can download a personal playlist, play Fender guitars and mix music tracks.
Artists renderings of the project weren't immediately available, but Schmidt said they should be available soon. Check back with Patch for updates.
