Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs Set to Open in October; Reservations Now Accepted

The Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs, which is slated to open this fall, is now taking reservations, the operators announced Tuesday.

Hard Rock International, which has 18 hotels around the world, is working with Kittridge Hotel Management to turn the Hotel Zoso at 150 S. Indian Canyon Drive into the Hard Rock.

The 163-room hotel is scheduled to open Oct. 4.

"We're thrilled to be one step closer to opening this iconic resort," said Hector Moreno, Hard Rock Palm Springs' vice president and general manager. "While our design and construction teams work to remodel the hotel, we're preparing for some exciting events and first-class entertainment to occur after the opening. We encourage guests to make reservations now."

Room rates start at $159 a night. The only other Hard Rock Hotel in California is in San Diego.

The Palm Springs hotel will have a spa and gym, gift shop, restaurant, lobby bar, pool and fire pits, along with 20,500 square feet of ballroom and banquet facility space and a business center.

In keeping with a music theme, the hotel will feature a VIP "rock star" suite, music memorabilia, and a program called "Sound Of Your Stay" allowing guests to download a personal playlist, play Fender guitars and mix music tracks.
