Head Trip Festival Preparations Results In Temporary Road Closure In Coachella Valley

INDIO, CA — The city of Indio announced Thursday a road closure will take place next week to prepare for the upcoming electronic music festival, Head Trip.

Avenue 50 between Monroe and Hjorth streets will be temporarily closed Tuesday from 6 a.m. through 2 p.m.

Motorists were encouraged to allow additional travel time and use alternate routes, including Avenue 52, Avenue 49, Avenue 48 and Highway 111.

Produced by Goldenvoice, promoters and organizers behind the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Stagecoach Music Country Festival and Just Like Heaven, Head Trip is a one-time only two-day festival on Oct. 11-12 at Empire Polo Club, 81-800 51st Ave.

The lineup includes Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, The Blessed Madonna and DJ Harvey.
