Helicopter Crew Rescues Stranded Person In Palm Desert
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the rescue was performed Tuesday afternoon in the 47900 block of Portola Avenue.
PALM DESERT, CA — One person had to be rescued via helicopter on Tuesday from an inaccessible area in Palm Desert.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the rescue was performed at approximately 1:20 p.m. in the 47900 block of Portola Avenue. The area is near the Living Desert Zoo.
Due to the terrain, a Riverside County sheriff's helicopter crew was summoned to extract the person from the scene. The injured victim was then transferred to an awaiting paramedics team and sent to a local hospital.
