Helicopter Rescues RivCo Hikers In Distress: Officials
The hikers reportedly had a low supply of water during the emergency, officials said.
INDIO, CA — A helicopter was requested to help airlift two hikers who were in distress Thursday afternoon in Indio, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to a call around 3 p.m. reporting two hikers who were feeling "unwell" and had a low supply of water near the Badlands Trail west of Dillon Road, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Both hikers declines additional care or to be transported to a hospital, officials said.
