Holocaust Remembrance Day In Palm Desert: Ceremony Planned
The Gerald R. Ford Chapter of the Mensch International Foundation is hosting the ceremony at Civic Park Amphitheatre.
PALM DESERT, CA — The Gerald R. Ford Chapter of the Mensch International Foundation will host its annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony Wednesday at Civic Center Park Amphitheatre in Palm Desert.
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 43900 San Pablo Ave. It will feature a walk from the park amphitheatre to the nearby Holocaust Memorial.
In 2005, the United Nations officially designated Jan. 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which coincides with the liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp in 1945.
