Home Opener Sell Out For Coachella Valley Firebirds At Acrisure Arena

PALM DESERT, CA — The Coachella Valley Firebirds' home opener Friday at Acrisure Arena is sold out, the American Hockey League team announced Tuesday. If you don't have tickets, it's too late for the first game of the season, but there are plenty more coming, according to Coachella Valley Firebirds Director of Broadcast and Communications Evan Pivnick.

A banner will be raised before the game, celebrating the new team's season Western Conference championship. The game starts at 7:07 p.m. against the Bakersfield Condors.

If you have tickets, remember to come early Friday for the outdoor festivities. At 4:45 p.m., the players will be celebrated upon their arrival in a red carpet event. There will be live music, games, and opportunities to take pictures with the team mascot Fuego. Also, fans can play inflatable street hockey, spin for giveaways, and enter drawings for prizes.

There's still time to get in on the action for future games, according to Pivnick. In October, the Coachella Valley Firebirds will host two more October home games:

• Wednesday, October 25th vs. Ontario ($5 Beer Night)
• Tuesday, October 31st vs. Abbotsford (Dia de los Muertos).

"Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. and seats are still available over Ticketmaster. Parking permits are available in advance online at ParkWhiz.
