Home Sales Up In Palm Desert Last Year
In Palm Desert, sales were up 7.4 percent in 2011 over 2010, according to the California Desert Association of Realtors.

Homes sales were up in many cities across the Coachella Valley, including Palm Desert, last year, according to recent data.
Pat Veling, president of Real Data strategies, gave a presentation on the local real estate market at a Jan. 26 event at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa.
In the Coachella Valley, existing home sales rose 4.7 percent in 2011 over the previous year, but slumped 6.9 percent over the past two years, Veling said.

“We’re on our way back up,” he said, adding that sales and prices vary throughout the Coachella Valley.
In Palm Desert, for example, sales were up 7.4 percent in 2011 over 2010, but Indio saw a 2.1 percent decrease in 2011 compared to 2010, he said.
