Hundreds of Motorcyclists Pass Through Region in Annual Cross-Country 'Run for the Wall'
The motto of the group is "we ride for those who can't."

COACHELLA, CA - A convoy of motorcyclists will depart from Ontario Wednesday for a cross-country ride in honor of America's veterans, with initial stops planned in Coachella and Blythe.
About 500 motorcyclists, the majority of whom are active or retired military members, are registered to take part in the 28th annual "Run for the Wall" to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., according to organizers.

Participants in the 10-day, 2,600-mile ride met Wednesday morning at the departure point at the Radisson Hotel, located at 2200 E. Holt Blvd. in Ontario. Registration was $40.
The riders' first stop was at Coachella's Spotlight 29 casino, where a special ceremony was held at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot. They'll were then slated to make a noon stop in Blythe to refuel and have lunch at the Colorado River Fairgrounds.

The riders are set to arrive in Washington, D.C., on May 27.
