Indio City Manager To Retire Effective Aug. 15
Indio City Manager Mark Scott announced Wednesday he will retire effective Aug. 15.

INDIO, CA – Indio City Manager Mark Scott announced Wednesday he will retire effective Aug. 15.
Scott has served as the Indio City Manager for three years, worked in the city management profession for more than 40 years and spent 30 of those years in the role of city manager.
In his retirement announcement, Scott, 70, thanked City Council members for their support.

"From the day I arrived, I have been very proud to be part of this talented and caring City of Indio team," he said in a prepared statement.
Indio Mayor Glen Miller said Scott has done a good job implementing the Council's strategic plans, and he looks forward to the search for the next city manager.

"We have tremendous momentum in Indio and our goal is to continue that momentum," he said. 'This may prove to be a tough time to recruit a successor, but we will begin the search immediately."
