Injured Hiker Rescued Near Palm Desert
The injured hiker was flown by a helicopter from the trail to a ground ambulance, where the person was taken to a local hospital.

PALM DESERT, CA — A hiker was rescued Monday from a trail near Palm Desert after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
The rescue was reported about 1:25 p.m. Monday near the Art Smith trail, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said an adult fell about 1.5 miles from the trailhead and firefighters walked to the hiker's location to render aid.
