Inmate Escapes Prison In Indio, Authorities Searching
An inmate has escaped from the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

INDIO, CA — Authorities are looking for an inmate who escaped from the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
Inmate Angel Felipe Aleman, 35, was last seen about 3:40 pm in a trailer park on Oasis Street near the jail, according to the Indio Police Department.
A heavy police presence is being reported in the area.

Riverside County Sheriff's Department described the inmate as Hispanic, 5'10, 140 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes. He was last wearing a Riverside County orange jumpsuit, white undershirt socks, no shoes and possibly waist chains.
Aleman has a chest tattoo (Dream Homes) right arm tattoo (BDH) & left arm tattoo (Palmas).

Authorities are asking the public to contact law enforcement immediately and do not approach if seen.
