J. Russell Haircuts To Benefit The Desert Symphony

Are you planning on getting a haircut over the next week?

Wait for Valentine’s Day and book an appointment at during their Valentine’s Day Cut-A-Thon. Not only will you look great for your own romantic day with a significant other, you will be spreading a little love to one of our cherished desert nonprofit organizations, The Desert Symphony.

On Monday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., all proceeds from haircuts will be given to the symphony. The money will help support the symphony's outreach programs and you will receive a free gift from the salon.

What’s even better is that the normal prices for haircuts will be slashed that day. So anyone who’s ever wanted to try -- known as the haute couture of hair in this town -- can get a hair cut and blow dry for $45 (regularly $80) or a shampoo and blow dry for $35 (normally $50).

I really love it when businesses support our organizations in the community that do so much.

According to Desert Symphony publicist Jeff Hocker, the Encore Series still has four upcoming concerts for the 2010-2011 season.

The concerts include Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. on Feb. 9; The Music of Michael Jackson on March 16; The American "G'enius featuring John Novacek on April 7; and the season finale with Tito Puente Jr. on May 7.
