J. Russell Salon To Add Massage Therapist

will soon offer massages at its new Palm Desert location.

The salon, now in its 25th year, moved to the old Morgan Stanley building at 72996 El Paseo in February 2010, where it has 47 stations, facial rooms and manicure/pedicure rooms.

Now it will include massage therapy through Sally Harland, owner of Healing Hands, which will contract with the salon, according to its owner, Meg Firestone.

Harland said she has been a massage therapist for 20 years and is a registered nurse.

On Tuesday, the Palm Desert Planning Commission granted Harland a conditional use permit to give massages at the salon.
