Melissa Morgan Fine Art opens the 2014-2015 season with a group exhibition that defies the idea that landscape art is dead. The Landscape is Dead, Long Live the Landscape! opens on November 7th, 2014, with a reception scheduled to coincide with El Paseo Art Walk from 5:30 - 7:30pm.

Throughout the season, Melissa Morgan Fine Art will continue exhibiting works in which gallery artists re-explore the subject of landscape and, in many cases, re-invent it. We live in a place where people come to appreciate and revel in the natural beauty, and we are continually surprised by the innovative and captivating ways that many of our gallery artists depict, interpret, and riff on the landscape. The art of this exhibition will lead people to rethink their perception of what landscape art is. For every recent art pundit that has claimed the subject to be dead, we hope to say, “Long live the landscape!”
