Living Desert Hosting Annual Plant Sale This Weekend
The zoo is also holding its Go Native! Day on Saturday.

The Living Desert is hosting two events this weekend!
On Saturday, Go Native! Day celebrates and honors the Coachella Valley’s native plants, animals, geological and cultural history. Go Native! Day draws special attention to the Zoo’s mission of desert conservation by offering a day of fun-filled activities for the entire family including guided morning bird walk, Cahulla Bird Songs, a lecture on geology and the San Andreas fault, and other seminars. Kids will love the coloring corner, pottery demos and special Wildlife Wonders animal show highlighting native fauna. Go Native! Day is free with paid admission to the park.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Annual Fall Plant Sale includes some of the best assortments of southwestern plants in the state, including rare and hard-to-find selections. Plants available for sale are either native to the desert or ones that adapt easily to the arid climate. In addition, items such as books, stylish garden art and pottery, birdfeeders and birdbaths, gardening tools and more will also be available at reduced prices. Admission to the plant sale is free, but does not include access to the park.
