Man Killed In Early-Morning RivCo Crash Identified: Sheriff

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that collided with a light pole, authorities said.

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA — Authorities have identified a 24-year-old man who was killed after his vehicle crashed into a light pole in Rancho Mirage early Tuesday morning.

Skyler Agar, of San Pedro, was fatally injured shortly by a single-vehicle crash that happened at 2:19 a.m. near Highway 111 and Indian Trail, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that collided with a light pole, and damage to "the historic Elephant Car Wash sign," authorities said.

Agar, who was traveling alone, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
