In addition to five Grammy wins and a five-octave range, Carey has been intrinsically linked to the holiday spirit with her 1994 No. 1 single, "All I Want for Christmas is You."

On Tuesday, Palm Springs issued a proclamation declaring Nov. 13 to be "Mariah Carey Day," in honor of the veteran pop star's upcoming performance. Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein officially recognized the "Queen of Christmas" in a statement.
